AbraHAM!

(A New-triever!)

AbraHAM is a gorgeous Newfoundland/Retriever mix who has a ton of personality.  At 4-5 years old, and coming from an abuse case, he still has a tremendous love for life. He is energetic yet mild mannered, loves to play, and enjoys giving kisses.

AbraHAM came to us emaciated and in very poor condition.  His coat was brittle and far too short from the lack of nutrition, his tail had no hair on the tip, and he had a huge wound on his front leg. He was also heartworm positive.  He has now put on weight, however, his coat has grown into a luscious, shiny black blanket, and he has been treated for heartworms.

We write his name AbraHAM because he is, indeed, a big HAM! He always has a smile on his face, he loves to romp around and play hard with this buddies, and he is goofy and comical. He is also very intelligent and picks up on things quickly.  He is grateful for attention, and he absolutely loves to be doted on.  He just longs for the attention that he's never had in his previous life, enjoying hugs, kisses, grooming, ball tossing...anything that shows him you care.

AbraHAM enjoys having canine buddies to play with, but he does best with females and males that are tolerant of his happy energy (aka: constant smile and wagging)...a female would be his best companion in his new home.  He is good with cats and kisses on them, but a laid back cat would be best so he doesn't think they want to play with him (in turn, frightening the cat since he's a big goof). With humans he is very loving, as well. Due to the neglect he experienced prior, we've worked on his manners with tremendous success. He is also excellent for veterinary care and grooming, absorbing the attention and respecting what you ask him to do.  He's a bit of an Eliza Doolittle, in male, doggy form. :)

AbraHAM is a dog we are most proud of, for he has transformed from a rambunctious, lacking in manners boy to a handsome prince that is full of love. He will make a wonderful companion for someone and provide them with lots of laughs, love and enjoyment. If you would like to learn more about AbraHAM, just let us know!
