Fiona!
(An Italian Terrier!)

Meet Fiona, a beautiful, 30lb mix of what is guessed to be an Italian Greyhound and Terrier. Whatever the mix may be, it has produced an extraordinary and darling girl that wins the hearts of everyone she meets.

Fiona has apparently faced difficult obstacles in her life with some unkind hands. She can be fearful at times and place her head to the ground due to being afraid of a cruel touch. Despite it all, however, she is amazingly social and exceptionally loving, followed by a phenomenal disposition. She wags her tail and her little behind nonstop when she's happy to see you, and you can't help but want to hug and smooch all over her. She is absolutely irresistible!

Fiona is a superb housedog and perfect for lounging around with while you watch tv. She is both housetrained and crate trained, and is well mannered with both. Her favorite spot in the house is the couch, and she is most often found sprawled out as if posing for a photo shoot. She is a quiet girl who still has spunk and fun in her that makes you smile. She does well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them by running around the house or sprinting in the sunshine. She also has this adorable little "paw wave" that she does when she's feeling feisty that will make you laugh. Although difficult to depict in photos (she attempts to give you the glamorous look) she always wears a smile on her face and has a fantastic attitude. She's simply lovely!

Fiona's one vice is that she MUST ALWAYS be on a leash or in a fenced yard. Unfortunately, her desire to play, run and explore dominate her willingness to listen, and she is almost impossible to catch. She means no harm, but she has a strong desire to roam, so with no exception could she ever be walked off leash. It's also necessary to closely watch her at the door, for she will bolt out the door and slip by you all too easily. We cannot stress how important it is to be diligent in tending to this particular trait. She's come too far to risk losing her or to take a chance on facing danger being on her own or running about.

Fiona was a victim of heartworms, but we treated her and she is now heartworm free and doing wonderfully. She was outstanding during her treatment and recovery period, and she always minded her manners. Quite an impressive little girl!

If Fiona has stolen your heart, as she's done with all of us, just let us know!
