Alli!

Meet a sweet girl who traveled a long road before ending up in rescue. This is Alli, a darling Great Pyrenees that walked the streets alone before finding herself in the pound.  Thankfully the employees at this shelter were very kind and took great care of her. In their effort to help her, they contacted us to see if we could take in a sweet, senior Great Pyrenees. We said yes without question, for the thought of a senior living the last days of her life in a pound was simply unbearable to think about...and we're suckers for those seniors.

Needing a good groom, the shelter kindly clipped her down and gave her a good bath.  Sadly, this ended up displaying her extreme emaciation, and sores left over from far too many ticks.  After a good check up at the vet, we took her home and let her relax after her big day.  She was shy and even trembled, so we loved her and gave her some yummy food and treats.  She obviously hasn't been treated well through the years, as she jumped when touched unexpectedly, or even when she saw it coming.  However, she's made headway and even giving hugs now!

Alli learned that it's fun to run around outside and bark at various things, and then come back inside to a cozy house with her brothers and sisters.  She has fallen head over heels for Preston, also a Great Pyrenees rescue, and it appears that she has quite the crush on him. Despite her age, she's definitely not an old maid...she's got a TON of life and vibrance in her! She would enjoy the company of a male companion in her new home, but it would not do well with another female.

Alli has now put on weight, and her coat has grown out, as well.  She is a fine example of the Great Pyrenees breed.  She loves to lie her head in your lap, and she's learned to enjoy hearing her name vs. running with fear when called.  She is a strong girl that we are thrilled to have in rescue, and we've enjoyed watching her prosper.  We know that she'd love to have a family of her own, so if anyone looks into those big brown eyes and sees the love in her heart, please let us know!  She certainly deserves a loving and devoted family who will spoil her rotten.  We look forward to giving her just that life!

Preston!

(A Great Pyrenees)

Preston is a stunning Great Pyrenees that is as loving and gentle as they come. At 109lbs and still filling out, he's an extra large baby that loves his family and friends.

Preston has an enormous heart, and he is a wonderful specimen of the Great Pyrenees. With a beautiful coat, wonderful temperament and huge size, he's also charming, happy, and impossible not to love.

Preston gets along well with dogs and cats, too. He loves everyone he meets, and they love him in return. He is housetrained and crate trained, and he rides well in a car. He is also great for his trips to the veterinarian and even enjoys being brushed.

Preston loves to run around and play in the yard with his buddies, so he will need a secure fenced yard for his outdoor time, and he must always be on a leash when outside of the fenced yard. True to his breed, he is a roamer and will not return if off lead. Preston can also be a barker sometimes, so close knit neighbors wouldn't be ideal for his new home.

Preston was diagnosed with heartworms but is now free and clear of the little varmints, and he is healthy and active.

This is a fantastic boy that will make you love the Great Pyrenees breed even more. You won't be able to resist him once you meet him! If you would like to meet him and see for yourself, just let us know!
